Swamped with work, I have a headache, punting on this intro. Maybe some news next week. A lot to unpack below…

Label of the Month:
Hoomidas
Instagram: @hoomidasrecords
Founded: 2019
Founder: Armen Miran
HQ: Los Angeles
Welcome back to Label of the Month. After a few month hiatus, we are going to be highlighting a label who we obtain upmost respect for: Hoomidas. It is an imprint renowned for its deep, organic house music that blends atmospheric textures with melodic grooves. The label's sound is characterized by its emotive depth and a focus on storytelling through music. In fact, in Armenian, "hoom" means "raw," symbolizing the label's commitment to authenticity and introspection.
Armen Miran established Hoomidaas to create a platform that emphasizes the raw and experiential aspects of music. He encourages artists to explore the unseen and the introspective, asking them to imagine "what the raw part of the sun (the other side of the sun that we can't see) would look like." This philosophy extends to every aspect of the label, from music to artwork, often in collaboration with the art collective Rambalkoshe. Regular releases include the bi-annual compilations "Hoom Side of the Sun" in summer and "Hoom Side of the Moon" in winter, each showcasing a curated selection of tracks that embody the label's aesthetic.

Artist of the Week:
Pinto (NYC)
Instagram: @pintomusicnyc
If you’ve spent any time on a dancefloor lately, chances are you’ve moved to the unmistakable sound of Pinto (NYC). Hailing from the heart of New York City, Pinto is a DJ and producer whose career has become synonymous with the modern jackin house movement. His infectious blend of classic house, disco, and soulful grooves has earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting artists in the scene today.
Pinto’s journey began in the our city’s underground, where his love for house music quickly translated into a string of high-profile releases. His debut album on the iconic Nervous Records put him on the map, followed by standout tracks on labels like Material Series, Glasgow Underground, Refuge, and Rawsome Recordings. His consistency hasn’t gone unnoticed: in 2023, Beatport named him the #5 Jackin House Producer in the world.
Pinto’s music has been championed by some of the industry’s biggest names. Carl Cox, Seth Troxler, Riva Starr, Mark Knight, Todd Terry, and Low Steppa all regularly include Pinto productions on radio shows, club sets, and festival stages. His 2018 album “Where I’m From” soared to #2 on the Traxsource Top 100 Albums chart, and his single “Dangerous” recently peaked at #2 on Beatport’s Jackin’ Top 100.
What sets Pinto apart is his ability to fuse the old with the new. His tracks are a celebration of house music’s roots—think funky basslines, disco samples, and soulful vocals—yet they’re always engineered for today’s dancefloors. Each release is packed with the energy and groove that defines New York’s club culture, but with a global sensibility that resonates from Brooklyn to Berlin. Take a listen to some of our favorite Pinto tracks:
In 2024, Pinto launched his own imprint, Jack City Records, giving him a creative home to push boundaries and spotlight emerging talent. His relentless studio work continues to yield fresh anthems, with recent and upcoming releases on Brobot Records, SOUP, King Street, and more.
Pinto is as dynamic behind the decks as he is in the studio. He’s a regular at top venues like Somewhere Nowhere (NYC), Bang Bang (San Diego), Space Ibiza NY, Pacha NYC, and Webster Hall. His international reach includes gigs in Australia, Mexico, the UK, the Netherlands, and beyond.
With a stacked release schedule, a growing label, and the support of house music’s elite, Pinto (NYC) is poised for even bigger things. Whether you catch him in an intimate club or on a festival stage, expect a set that’s packed with groove, energy, and plenty of surprises. Pinto, thanks for reppin’ NYC! Let’s link up!

Event of the Week:
Butch b2b mink (open to close) @ Sunset Park Rooftop
I like to steer clear of Teksupport events for this section since they are just an easy option to find, however, I'd just like to give Butch his flowers. The German DJ & producer is a maestro and will pair well with a rooftop like a fine wine. He’s going b2b with local DJ mink on Saturday night from open to close (11pm-4am). Come early, stay late, whatever it may be, it will be a good ol’ time. Plus - I have an extra ticket for sale at a much lower rate than what they are currently priced. Uh oh! The truth comes out!
