The LowDown #68
Sixty-eighth installment of our weekly newsletter from the Team.
From the Team:
"She's got a body like an hourglass, it's ticking like a clock"
Quick one this week, but let’s not lose sight of the future. Auphoria and Markus Homm’s EP, “How About Some Lemonade,” is out next week and I want you to keep your throat clear and moist: you will be wanting to yodel.

Artist of the Week:
Pathagonia

Meet Pathagonia, the collaborative brainchild of italian artists Alex Tea and Noha.
You may have familiarized yourself with the name already, as they dropped a hot EP on Rossi’s HomeGrown Records recently. “Let Me Go” is an instant add!
However, if you are a true tech head, then you probably have come across “Chi Ci Pensa” upon your listening consumption.
Pathagonia formed in 2018, and their journey began with this release. Before its official release, "Chi Ci Pensa" had already gained significant traction, making its way into the crates of the trio a:arpia, who played it during the 23rd edition of Sunwaves. That moment catapulted Pathagonia into the underground spotlight, setting the stage for a rapid ascent through Europe's most revered club circuits. The duo, bolstered by their initial success, began hosting showcases of their label, Panickpanick!, further solidifying their presence as key players in the European underground.
In 2019, Pathagonia proved they were no one-hit wonder with more hit releases like this one:
Then came 2023, a year that saw the duo take a step back from relentless touring to reinvest their energy into the studio. That period of creative introspection bore fruit with How Low Can You Go?, a six-track mini-album released on the revered French label Yoyaku. The project showcased a refined yet adventurous sound, blending deep, rolling grooves with hypnotic textures—a testament to their evolving artistry.
With their deep, immersive productions and a label that continues to champion innovative sounds, Pathagonia is more than just a DJ duo; they’re tastemakers, creators, and sonic architects of the underground. Whether through their own releases or the Panickpanick! imprint, one thing is certain—Pathagonia isn’t stopping anytime soon. Keep your ears to the ground, because wherever they go next, the underground is sure to follow. I’ll leave you with “New Rave Ep” released just 3 weeks ago on Constant Sound. Huge!
