From the Team:
"We've got a thing and that's a-called radar love"
^A tune from Amtrac’s set at Elsewhere over the weekend and, safe to say, it was a frickin’ banger.
For those that may have missed it last week, remember this date: FRIDAY OCTOBER 4TH. That is our next release with the Romanian bass-selector Daniel Enache. We are super stoked to share his single “Body” with you all. More info and sneak peeks to come.
Plus - if you are in NYC or planning to travel that way, you should maybe save the date Friday November 8th…
Plus plus - we should have the first mix in our new series out next week. Stay tuned!

Artist of the Week:
Mint
Instagram: @mintjpn
There’s a deep tech scene in Tokyo? Yep. And our artist of the week, Mint, is at the forefront.
Takanori Kamiya, also known as MINT (JPN), is a prominent sound producer specializing in a Japanese style Minimal/Deep Tech. Influenced by the music of Hiroshi Watanabe and SLAKE during his childhood, Kamiya developed a deep passion for electronic music. I will continue to preach that the best part about house music is its ability to be loved in every country around the world, no matter the language. The dancefloor is the language. Looks like I gotta add Toyko to the list!
After checking out this playlist from a link in Mint’s Instagram bio, it is safe to say the Japanese enjoy top notch stuff.
His work with major labels around the world has solidified his status as a key figure in the industry. His music has achieved success across labels such as Habitat, Krad Records, Aparenzza Music, SK LAB, Tonic D Records, Platform7even, Kootz Music, Beachside Records, Don't Play Recordings, and many others. Let’s take a listen to some of his discography.
His tracks are crafted to deliver powerful bass and infectious grooves, ensuring that his sets keep people dancing all night long. He has been on a roll recently, with 18 EP releases this year alone! And we still have 3.5 months to go.
What’s next for Mint? Looks like a remix of Protect’s “Scenario” coming out on October 10th. Take a listen here.

Event of the Week:
Brooklyn Sway x Import/Export presents Eric Kupper, Tomoki Tamura, J. Richards, Asha & Jay @ Apollo Studio
Local events group Import/Export is teaming up with local vinyl-only record label Brooklyn Sway to throw a fantastic event at the intimate Apollo Studio in Greenpoint/NE Williamsburg (?) on Friday night. They have a star studded lineup featuring local heads Asha & Jay Prouty (wonderful people) from Brooklyn Sway, Joshua Buhler from Import/Export, as well as the NYC debut of Berlin via Tokyo transplant Tomoki Tamura, and the legendary Eric Kupper to round things out.
Tomoki is a frickin’ legend. Just take one look at his Instagram and you will see he is no joke. He has an extensive, impressive resume that includes residencies in London, Berlin, Tokyo and Ibiza to name a few. A true vinyl God.
As for Eric, he walked so many others today could run. His discography is vast and he is responsible for some of house music’s all time hits; especially his collaborations with Frankie Knuckles. Eric has worked with countless others including David Morales, Whitney Houston, and Depeche Mode to also name a few.
This is true, underground house music at it’s finest. Local and international coming together. Where were you on Friday September 20th?
