From the Team:
"You got me feelin' hella good, So let's just keep on dancin’"
Hello, friends (Jim Nantz voice). Another week has passed, which means we are another week closer to the release of Cloudy Sangster’s Freedom & Power EP. Check out our recent post of Cloudy, aka Patches O'Houlihan (ifykyk), spinning his tune at our launch party back in November.

Friday April 12th!
One more thing, we would like to do a little promo for the newsletter. You guys have been such great supporters of it and we love the feedback we’ve been getting. That being said, if you… YEAH YOU… can get 10 people to sign up for the newsletter, we will give you 2 free tickets to any “event of the week” of your choosing. Just show us proof that you got 10 people to sign up and you got yourself tickets for you and a friend. And it can be for any event in the future. Fun! Right? I don’t know.
Friday April 12th!

Artist of the Week:
Anas M
Instagram: @anasm_music
Were you aware of the Moroccan minimal house scene? I wasn’t either. Until I came across an artist by the name of Anas M.
At only 25 years old, Moroccan born & Russian raised Anas M already has over 200 releases on various labels dating back 7 years. Wow. Many of his tracks are supported by minimal figure heads such as Arapu, Raresh, and Petre Inspirescu. He now owns a label of his own, Worst Date Records, giving him the ability to self release as well as highlight up and coming talent around the world. Here’s another personal favorite of mine:
In dope cities like Rabat and Morocco, nights were due for some synthy cuts and grooves. Anas M took the opportunity and ran with it. Take a listen at the vibe he curates during his sets:
Oh, did I mention he put out a new release this past Friday?
The man grinds. Constantly creating new sounds and putting them out to the world. All with consistent deep and minimal energy. So easy to sway to. I love discovering young talent, because there is so much time for further development. Onwards Anas M, thank you for what you do - you’re killing it!

Event of the Week:
There are some sick events in the city this weekend. Dusky at Elsewhere, The Martinez Brothers in the new Brooklyn Paramount. Also Drumcode if you’re into that. However, it is also Easter weekend so Saturday night may be tough for those that are planning to go to church on Sunday (I know some of our readers should). That is why I have a DOPE event for you on Friday. ReSolute, known for some of the best underground parties in the City (for those unaware), has Traumer coming into town from Paris. He is on from open to close and will deliver groovy minimal tunes that will have everyone energized. Skeptical?
Get them before they’re gone! This event will most likely sell out.

Mix of the Week:
RA.928 MCR-T & DJ Gigola
Sometimes we neglect techno, but it is not intentional. I guess we are just such house whores sometimes. However, this is a good one. We have DJ Gigola and MCR-T, from the Berlin label and collective Live From Earth, blessing us with a mix that was a part of a recent Resident Advisor article. It’s upbeat, raunchy, and kind of funny…while also never losing your attention.
New Tracks/EPs/Albums of the Week:
Note: we created a playlist for the New Tracks of the week. It will aggregate all the tracks for the month. Here it is!
